just began having relations with a lady I have known for sometime. I am extremely attracted to her, she is a beautiful woman both inside and out.

I have yet to achieve o****m while have s*x with her and she is beginning to think it is her and I know it is not. I have no trouble achieving and sustaining an erection. Why cant I let go?

I am on lisinopril with HCTZ for Hi BP, Cymbalta for depression and Xanax for my nerves. Am i safe to assume to has something to do with it? could it be the fear of getting hurt again.

ANYONE with any similiar experience please respond

  1. This isn't even a problem. Try to enjoy and not be nervous.

  2. When I first started taking Cymbalta I had the same trouble, but after awhile it got better.  Granted I helped this out by masturbating to see how long it would really take, but I would bet it is the Cymbalta.  Plus it's one of the side affects.  That's what my physcologist told me.

  3. I am actually a nursing student, which means lots of time looking up side effects to many drugs...how long have you been taking Cymbalta because I have had some patients complain of difficulty having an o****m and even decreased s*x drive. I would speak to your doctor about that.

  4. Yep, sounds like Performance Anxiety.

Brother man, take some Ginseng, Black Pearl (capsules or RTD), some Advanced Yohimbe Plus or Steel Libidio.

the black pearl and yohimbe plus contain yohimbe - DO not take together and Do Not take products with Yohimbe on an empty stomach.

  5. Its the cymbalta, google the side affects.Almost all anti depressants have this side affect.

  6. okay is she younger? I'm inclined to believe that when a 45 yo man says he is extremely attracted to her. First, consider urself (and she should too) lucky because lots of men on medication especially for blood pressure, depression and not to mention anti-anxiety cant even achieve an erection or have any sexual desire at that. I think you are hyping yourself up too much about the release. Take some deep breaths and Relax......just make sure you both enjoy it. That's the important part.

And now to the real work: you need to figure out the emotional and cognitive issues of why you are depressed and nerved out (maybeapprovall from others is one of those). There is a chemical deficiency going on in your brain and the most advanced pharmacy in the universe is located in between those ears of yours. It will work if you let it. Its an amazing piece of machinery. It is far too easy to throw medication at something (especially in this country). Its just a band-aid dude. Not to say you should discontinue your meds. It can help you if you let it but it will NOT fix it for u. Until you do this work, you won't be a good partner for anybody because your not a good partner to or for yourself. Try to worry about building a great relationship with a foundation of lasting and enduring principles. s*x is only the dessert not the main course and ejaculation is only a condiment. Oh, and keep up with a dietary regiment of low sodium, little or no saturated fat foods. Red meat, red wine, alcohol and caffeine are not your friends right now.

  7. you need to tell the doctor that either the blood pressure medicine or the depression medicine is causing some uncomfortable side effects. You need to find one that works for you. When I was on Effexor for PPD I had a hard time reaching a climax, I went to doctor since this has never happened to me and he changed ti to Wellbutrin this did not have any side effects. I was happy until I got off them. Good luck to you.

  8. It is probably the drugs, mate. See your doc and talk to him about it.

If it was performance anxiety, you would be having trouble sustaining an erection. Since you do not have that problem, then viagra will not assist you either. For this reason, I assume it is the drugs you are already taking. Probably the antidepressant. Strange how antidepressants have a terrible habit of causing ED.. which causes people to get depressed... lol. That's ironic.
