$4500 for 1976 Chevy Nova with mods here and there a good deal? ?

Will this car pass emissions in CA?

with everything that you listed the car is worth the price. i wouldnt pay that much for it, but if you want the car it must be worth it to you. i have one question for you though. who does that many modifications to a 305 and then screws it all up with 20" rims.

sounds like a good deal to me I mean i just rebuilt my 93 chevy 4.3L with many performance parts and put 0ver $5000 in it and thats not including the tranny rebuild and the coming soon paint job. I dought you can do all the mods it sounds like this car has and beat the price its being sold for. I dont know about California but there should be a car age act that states whick cars are under the emissions test and etc....since the car is older  the rules may not be as strict. You can also do mods to pass emissions if you had to also. You will think its crazy but you can make a fuel cell and even increase you mileage and lessen you emissions. Look up on youtube.com about HHO or browns gas. Believe it or not you can power a car with water and turn any car into a hybrid may even double ro triple you mileage. plus when you burn the hho gas it turns back into water in your exhaust. better for enviroment and saves on gas. You can even make these things or buy one already made.    Good luck   seriously look into the hho gas thing its awsome. You make gas from water  using electrolisis that makes browns gas then you run a tube from your fuel cell to your carb or fuel injection and you gain mpg. the oil companies have tried forever to keep the technology from getting out . The technology been here since 70s

passing smog in california ??? with the changes made to it -

-not a chance ! i have a smog shop i deal with everyday and there is no way it will pass like that.   now you could do some creative bribery to get it done but, its hard to find people to "play ball" if you know what i mean .  sounds like a nice car but the 76 's were not the cool novas of the past. still a nova yes but, a 76 and a SMOGABLE ONE AT THAT.  think about it before you get stuck with it and cant drive it . do some checking in the smog thing before you buy it.  

the 305 is no hot rod. and all the bolt on goodies may sound good but, i doubt that will do what you think it will .  lots of cool stuff --sure but its 305 cubic inches and did the guy up the comppression for all this stuff ? cause if he didn't,  the 650 carb alone will kill the chances of you getting it smogged right off the bat. then you have the cam to worry about too. non of this stuff is able to pass.   do some long hard thinking before you spend your money.
