454 Weight?

Question

Does anyone have an idea of how much a Big Block Chevy 454 engine weighs. I am considering a boat project and conn not seem to find this vital bit of information on a web search.

ive carried just the block of a 410over and it ws about 150 so all assembled its prolly gunna be bout 500

685 pounds

This is the weight of the factory production engine with cast iron heads and manifolds.  If you use an aftermarket engine with aluminum heads and intake maifold, it will be at about 100 pounds lighter.
