49cc SCOOTER OWNERS: Any feedback on ownership of a Yamaha C3?

From my recent research, this seems like the one to get: 115 mpg & lots of storage space. Just was wondering about current owner's experiences, from buying to service, and any quality or other issues. If you have another 49cc brand you like, I would also like to know why you suggest it - Thanks!

I thought about getting one, but wanted a bit higher top speed.  They supposed to be very reliable.  http://www.scootforum.com has the repair manual for one and someone posted a tutorial for how to derestrict the C3 to make it go faster.

You may also look at Kymco.  They have several 50cc models.  Their People 50 or S50 has nice 16" wheels and a classier look, then they also have the Super 9 which has a lot of aftermarket parts that will get you up to 70MPH on it.

While on my old Honda Urban Express, a Yamaha C3 left me in the dust. If I had my SA50, things would have been different.
