49ers' Coach Jim Harbaugh disappointed on the defeat but ready to move forward – NFL News
San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh is disappointed after the loss against Arizona Cardinals in the week-14 game of the National Football League current season on Sunday, but said after the game that they players competed well.
Addressing media on Monday, he said that there were missed opportunities in the game. However, he did not blame anyone for the defeat and said that he was ready to move forward and deal with the problems the team was facing.
The defeat was even more troubling and frustrating as the 49ers are the National Football Conference West division champions. It was their third defeat of the season.
“Our team’s won the division. You’re the hunted now, you’re not the hunter as much. You’ve got a target on your back. People want to beat you. That’s raised. Not saying it wasn’t like that before, but that expectation, that bar
has raised,” the coach said.
49ers have got three more games left in the regular season. They are going to face Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday. In week 16, they will face Seattle Seahawks and they are going to take on the dejected St. Louis Rams in the final
week of the regular season.
Harbaugh expects his team to win the rest of the games and continue the winning-run in the playoffs. He urged the players to do well in the next games and said that the coaches and the players will work together to fix the problems.
“You man up. With broad shoulders, you take accountability. You’re rushing to take the accountability. Find each and every way to improve. Not just coming in and saying ‘hey, we’re going to try to do better’. Find those ways and
attack them.”
Meanwhile, Harbaugh gave a room for speculations to grow by not properly responding a query related to the injury of running back Frank Gore, who was not present on the field during the finals two snaps in the game against Cardinals.
His performance in the final quarter was also unimpressive.
When it was pointed out to the coach that Gore did not have enough carries in the second half of the game and asked whether the running back is having issue relating his health, the coach only said that Gore has got something and
he is not 100 per cent.
