And are you just hoping for a new QB to come through the 2009 draft. I kinda am. Or maybe a Free Agent pickup.

Do you wish the Niners would have traded out of the 1rst pick when they drafted Alex Smith

Alex Smith is a bust. And please stop calling him a smart guy. If he is that smart, he should have picked up the system now, regardless of how many OC he has. And yes, 9ers should have traded away the number 1 pick. Even forfeiting the number 1 pick seems like a very good idea now.

I think the 49ers will go with Alex Smith on the basis of how much the organization invested in him.  I have faith in the team this year.  If OC Mike Martz can make Jpn Kitna look good throwing over 4,000 yards on a team with less talent, then he can make Smith look good too.

Expect a change at QB if Alex Smith underperforms in his 4th season.
