4FRNT releases teaser of latest full-length ski film DANG!
The trailer of “DANG!” hit the internet this week, giving fans a first look at the latest ski film by 4FRNT that is due for release in September later this year.
The trailer showcased the brand’s team of riders showing off their skills and innovation, seemingly driven by the motivation to push the boundaries and keeping the viewers entertained.
The film will be featuring plenty of known freeskiers, which include Eric Hjorleifson, David Wise, Wiley Miller and Cody Barnhill, while some relatively fresh faces will be seen as well. Nick Miles and Andy Partridge are among the up-and-coming freeskiers
who will be seen in action during the second full-length ski film.
This is the second team film by 4FRNT, with the brand releasing its first film last year in September.
Talking to ESPN in an exclusive interview, the founder of 4FR NT Matt Sterbenz explained that the level of talent in freeskiing was progressing every year, with the sport growing at a rapid pace. The athletes were not getting enough screen time during their
appearance in ski films. Therefore, in order to embrace a broader network of riders and create an opportunity for a well-rounded brand message, 4FRNT had given preference to a team film.
The name of the latest team film by 4FRNT was suggested by Miller, one of the brand’s team members.
The film features freeskiers as they went around the globe, searching for adequate snow in Utah, Whistler, Jackson Hole, Austria and beyond to put their skills on display.
“As we all experienced, it wasn't the winter we anticipated. We were hunting for snow all season. We didn't kick off filming until we flew over to Europe in February. We spent three weeks in Austria. The snow quality was a night and day difference to the
U.S. Things started to turn the corner for us at home after that. We had a good week in Jackson in early March. We're not done filming yet, either. In July, we're heading up to Whistler for a team week during Camp of Champions,” conceded Sterbenz.
“DANG!” is scheduled to make its premiere this fall in Salt Lake City, Utah and will also be available on the internet for download.
