As a novice considering stepping into large format photography, I have a few questions for you seasoned view camera users:1. Since I'm most interested in landscape photography, the lighter weight and compactness of field cameras appeal to me. However, after looking at (but not using) several metal and wooden cameras such as the Toyo 45AX, Wista 45VX and Horseman Woodman, I am completely befuddled. Will a wood camera be too unstable? Are there any other advantages of metal cameras other than preciseness of movements? I have heard that wood cameras age more gracefully but are less robust than metal constructions?2. What is your opinion on the Wista 45DX series?3. What camera do you use? Do you like it?4. How do Fujinon lenses stack up against Nikkor and Rodenstock? Is Schnieder better?5. Are monorail cameras really not suited for field work? Thanks for your time and your opinions. Please email me with your responses toDennis
