  7. Nice message...thanks American...my hubby is a Viet Nam vet so we're a bit on the patriotic side ourselves!  Add to your message...help our horses get through the fireworks without any meltdowns!!!!

When I hate the fireworks it's for my animals.  When I love the fireworks it's about knowing what it took, and still takes, to keep this country free.

  8. I would but theres a snake in my house!!

  9. No, not yet...had hubby put them out to pasture this morning...

Sitting here going between Yahoo...and looking at photos of my Marine son.  He's going back to Iraq very soon...I miss him so and worry so much...I wish I could see him this weekend.  Maybe he'll call...

God Bless our troops and watch over them until they are safely home once again.  And can sit in a lawn chair, eat bar b que, have a beer on the 4th...and KNOW that they had something to do with the freedom of that...

**EDIT...Me here Blue...I big baby when it comes to patriotic things....Makes my chest feel too small for my heart....so I cry...

  10. i ve hugged my horses loads today because i love them

  11. "right on" !    My youngest son is in KY with his dad celebrating the 4th and my older son is spending it with his GF Sooooooo Im spending it alone at the barn with my babies as I gave everyone the day off to be with friends and family. Im not going to set anything off as my bad luck streak sometimes gets me in trouble....ie, like starting a fire....lol     so im just going to be good and maybe clip my horses up.

BB best of wishes to your son, and thanks to the troops for keeping out freedom!

  12. I was out at the barn this morning and wished everyone a happy 4th! No hugs yet, later I guess... ^_^

BB I'm sorry, I know it's a tough thing to go through.... My brother is in Iraq and It's been torture for me... My father was in the marines and my uncle, so today is a big day for me!!

    **Edit**

Oh Blue absolutely... I get choked up every time. Thinking of all the men and women who have supported this country and fought for it... It's beautiful. *sigh*. I'm tearing up right now thinking of it... I miss my brother. ='(

God bless the USA and all who have and still are fighting for her today!!!!

    HAPPY 4TH OF JULY EVERYONE!!!!!!!

  13. I will be doing lots of hugging tonite when the trailer park way across the field starts firing off their AKs and M16s.

Yup...great fun and pretty brainless.  >:(

Being that we are an ex military family, both dads served in Vietnam, g-dad was in WWII, g-g-dad in WWI, bro in law in the Navy and served in both Gulf plus Iraq....

and we are darn proud to fly the stars and stripes and be allowed to talk c**p about our president and not get shot for it. :)

Lots of things not great but sure as heck not so bad I want to leave.  I'll still fight for her!

But to be honest...I don't think it woulda killed me if I were Brit either :)

Best wishes to ALL people in all countries!

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY USA!

edit:  remember that our troops are doing a job.  They love our country and chose to give their lives if need be to defend it.  When they are ordered to do something they are NOT allowed to argue the point.  They do it whether they agree or not.  That is the oath they took and swear by it...so do not get down on them.  Stand by them no matter what!

  14. Im Australian/Canadian but hey why not?

*runs outside to hug horses* *takes 30 mins*

    back!

    lol

  15. This is a great post....Thank you for reminding us what a great country we live in and how lucky we are to have the privilege being Americans.  Happy 4th of July!
