My husband, 5 month old daughter and I just moved to the Detroit Metro area (Rochester Hills) and we are wanting to find a way to celebrate the 4th!

We love festivals, being outside, live music, watching the fireworks, just about anything the 4th has to offer! So if you know of anything going on in the area could you please let us know!!?

Thanks;)

  1. Welcome to the area!  Here's a website that you can use all year long to locate events in the area:

    http://events.detnews.com/

If you're looking for fireworks, search that and the radius you're willing to travel, dates, etc and it will pull up lots of options!

The MetroParks also have a lot going on this weekend (fireworks/concerts/waterparks & play areas):

Something to keep in mind - during July & August, the Detroit Zoo is open late on Wednesday evenings for their Wild Summer Nights Concert Series at the zoo.  These concerts are Wednesdays in July & August and go from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm).  It's a fun time!
