  1. You might be able to get Stephen Jackson with the 4th pick since he is coming off an injury year.   He's young, a stud and in a contract year.  No way the Rams let him get out of St Louis (better not, I'm a die hard Rams fan) so the better he plays the more money they will pay him.  LT should go first everywhere, Purple Jesus 2nd (flip flop these two in alot of drafts), Westbrook #3 then Predator at 4.  Any of those 4 is an excellent starting point for your team.

  2. You're probably going to miss out on AP - even if it's a PPR keeper league.  Joseph Addai would be one option.  Another would be Frank Gore or Marshawn Lynch, top-tier RBs who are young.  Clinton Portis would not be a bad choice either.

  3. Carson Palmer.  The Bengals are always behind so Palmer will rack up bunches of yards.  He'll be around for years to come.

  4. Since this is a Keeper League, how the heck would I know who'd be available at the fourth pick?  It would depend on which players were let go from last season.

  5. LT and AP are certain to be gone by the time you pick at #4 (unless you have at least two boneheads picking in front of you that is).  Assuming you are looking at running backs for your pick, the next three on my rankings in order are:

    Westbrook

    Addai

    Jackson

If you are thinking of taking a QB, I would assume Brady is the top option, with Romo and PManning next on the list, although I would in no way advocate taking any of them with the 4th pick.  The only WR I would even contemplate taking in the first round are Moss and Owens, but again I would not take either of them that early.

  6. i got addai he should be a good pick

  7. 1. tomilson

    2. adrian peterson

    3. stephen jackson

    4.westbrook/ addai

    5.willie parker

  8. S.Jax.  He is #2 on my board but you may get him at #4.  S.Jax is 25.  He plays on a recently run-oriented team.  He will get ALL their goal-line carries.  He will play on passing downs - he caught 100 balls 2 years ago.  Last year was a down year for him(even tho he rushed for a 1000!)  because his whole OL and starting QB went down w/ injuries.  Rams have an easy schedule this year and play in the weak NFC West.  my prediction for this year:  1900 total yards,  18 TDs.  He will be the "come-back player of the year"  (S.Smith will come in 2nd)  Good luck!

  9. Hi Anton,

Like you, I'm drafting 4th in my league as well and I don't think it's a great place to be this fantasy season.  In 2008, I only have 2 RBs in my first tier and quite a few in my second tier:

    1st Tier:

    L. Tomlinson

    B. Westbrook

    2nd Tier:

    A. Peterson

    J. Addai

    F. Gore

    C. Portis

    S. Jackson

    M. Barber

    R. Grant

    J. Lewis

    M. Lynch

    L. Johnson

    W. McGahee

So, even if you think AP is a top 2 RB (I don't, because he loses too many carries to Taylor), you have to accept that he'll be gone when you pick.  My second tier is very large, granted, but I wouldn't be surprised if any of these players blows up this year and I think they all have the same potential to perform as a stud #1 back.

If your rankings are similar to mine, then you realize that you may as well be drafting 11th, because the value there will be similar to the value at #4.  Because of this, I'm contemplating taking Brady at the #4 spot if he's there.  In 2007 Brady scored 150 points more than any other QB in the league and having him on your roster gives you an automatic advantage.

The catch is, your 2nd and 3rd selections MUST be running backs, and getting 2 good RBs in round 2 and 3 (essentially the 21st and 28th selections) will require some intense research, but it could be done.  This year there are tons of rookies and other players that you could get in later rounds, the idea will be to load up on RB and hope you get a few diamonds in the rough.

So, my advice would be draft LT or Westbrook if for some reason either of those players falls to you.  Otherwise, either take a chance on Brady (if you feel froggy) or take the top RB remaining on your rankings (possibly AP, Addai, Gore).

  10. heres my top 4 take whos avalible

    ladainon tomlinson

    adrain peterson

    brain westbrooke

    stephen jackson

  11. Given that Tomlinson and Peterson will be gone, I would pray that Steven Jackson will be there.  He is a great RB in a great situation with Al Saunders as his offensive coordinator in Saint Louis.  Jackson is also playing for a new contract this season.  If you told me that someone other than Peterson or Tomlinson ended up being the #1 RB at the end of the season, Jackson would be my first guess.

  12. Is this the first year of the keeper league?  You don't specify and the answers seem to suggest it is.  If it's a league that's been around, how many players does each team pick?  Or is it a dynasty keeper league where you draft only rookies? I'll give you my top four both ways.

    First year.

    1. Ladainian Tomlinson

    2. Adrian Peteson

    3. Stephen Jackson

    4. Joseph Addai

    Rookies only

    1. Darren McFadden

    2. Jonathon Stewart

    3. Rashard Mendenhall

    4. Matt Forte

Otherwise there is no way to tell without knowing what players were kept.

  13. If Adrian Peterson is there, draft him because it is a no-brainer. If he isn't there and Tom Brady is, take Brady. If you would prefer a young, great wide receiver, I'd take a look at getting Braylon Edwards. Steven Jackson would also be a good pick if he is there. You might want to get Peyton Manning is there and Tom Brady isn't there.

  14. Since it's a keeper league go with one of the younger backs that has more upside to to their age.

AP if he slips (I doubt it) S.Jackson,Addai,Barber,Lynch

I would definitely take one of those guys in the order I listed

    Good Luck
