  3. MY boyfriend is 30 and never learned not to tip-toe.  We call him ballerina.. but I love him...........   the only problem is that most shoes hurt his feet when he walks in them -or his back.  Try to curb by keeping shoes all the time!

  4. I don't know for sure but you may want to ask your peditrician and you can probably curb this by keeping shoes on him.

  5. It is ok to tiptoe sometimes as it helps build up leg muscles but if you see that he is only walking on his tiptoes I would mention it to his Dr because my cousin had to have surgery because the ligaments or something in her leg didn't grow right so she couldn't put her foot flat, but usually it is just that the kids like to do it.

  6. it's a great way to strengthen the muscles of the lower legs -play with the child and make up funny ways to walk!!

  7. My daughter, now 14, has always walked on her toes.  When she was  older, it caused problems in her muscles being crampy.  She wears orthotics now, and sandals that are thicker (platform sort) and that makes it harder to walk up on her toes.

Take him to an orthopedic and make sure it isn't a short muscle problem.

    Good luck!

  8. No, but for my niece it was just a phase.
