5-1/4" speakers in a 4 by 6 slot?

can it be done? is there any way? or should i just forget it and get some 4 by 6's?

It can be done without any modification to your car you just need some speaker adapters. There is both universal and vehicle specific adapters for 4x6 holes that allow you to use 5-1/4 or 6-1\2 speakers. You would need to provide your cars year, make and model for a more detailed answer. yse it can be done just will involve some cutting, and filling in places.

the best and easyest way it to use a piece of cardoard the size of the speaker you want to install, you can then see what bits need cutting and where needs flling.

i whould recomend a fiberglass kit bought from halfords or autobase or somewhere like that as it is strong and flexable (to a certain extent)

it whould probable be stronger to cover the hole completly then recut the size/shape of the hole to what you need rather than filling part and part.
