  1. You need to first be metabolically typed.  Until you do this, you will not be able to effectively determine what foods are good for you to eat and what ones to avoid.  This is critical you do this first.

Each of us metabolizes food differently and one diet does not fit all.  You also want to AVOID ALL SOY products, except fermented soy only.  It contains lots of goitrogens that slow your thyroid down causing you to have a slow metabolism.

If you eat a low fat, low calorie diet, you will slow your metabolism down as well because your fat stores will produce a hormone called leptin that will signal your hypothalamus gland to slow your thyroid because it will think you are starving.

    good luck to you

  2. Think of eating 3 small meals, with 2 healthy snack in between in case you feel hungry. This will prevent you from over eating at your next meal. But if you don't feel hungry, don't force yourself to squeeze in a snack. Thin people generally eat only when they feel hunger.

You want to watch your portion sizes. Don't eliminate one food group. Eat a well balanced diet from all the groups..they all offer something different to the body. Lean protein will help you retain muscle, and keep you feeling satisfied. Complex carbs will provide you with energy over a longer period of time, and fruits and vegetables give you vitamins, minerals, and aid in digestion.

An example of what you may want to eat to lose weight:

Breakfast: 1 or 2 eggs with 1 slice of whole wheat toast, and a piece of fruit

    Snack: a lowfat yogurt

Lunch: chicken breast( 3 oz) on top of a salad, with light, lowfat dressing

snack: small palmful of nuts or a granola bar

Dinner: 3 oz. lean beef, or fish, with steamed vegetables. Your plate should have 1/4 protein, 1/4 carb, and 1/2 veggie.

Here, you'll see you're restricting your calories, but eating from all food groups, and you should never feel hungry. Drink plenty of water through out the day.

  3. Alright I do this.   This is my diet when I'm bulking up.  This is just an example so you can see what you eat.

    8:00 A.M - two eggs and a bagel.

    10: A.M - Protein Shake and  Banana

12:00  - Chicken Breast, rice and vegatables (not a ton of rice or vegetables)

    3:00 - Protein Shake

6 or 7:00 - A can of Tuna, Some Fruit

9:00 - Peanut Butter Sandwhich or some Cottage cheese

Thats Pretty much it.  Make sure your calorie intake is good.  Don't try to over eat like people do on 2-3 meals a day.

    Good Luck.
