  1. Many of my favorite restaurants in SF are on the pricier side, but I have a few favorites that are reasonably priced.

    1. Range (www.rangesf.com): Beautifully executed American cuisine.  Perhaps one of the cheapest 1-star Michelin restaurants that you will find anywhere.

    2. Little Star Pizza (www.littlestarpizza.com): Fabulous deep dish pizza.  One of my favorite pies in the city.

    3. Chapeau! (http://bistrochapeau.ypguides.net): A hidden gem of a restaurant in Richmond District serving up French cuisine.  The food is great and the service is spectacular.  Note that the owners, Philippe and Ellen Gardelle, are in the process of moving some of the cuisine from Chapeau! to Clementine, another French restaurant in the Richmond District which they recently purchased, so YMMV.  A touch on the pricier side, but still reasonable when compared with other fine dining restaurants in the city.

    4. Sushi Bistro (www.sushibistro.net): Our favorite sushi joint in the city.  Very fresh and innovative sushi at very reasonable prices.  I've been there many times and have had consistently great food and solid service.

    5. Kokkari (www.kokkari.com): The best Greek cuisine in the city IMHO.  It's a touch on the pricier side but like Chapeau!, cheaper than other fine dining experiences in the city.

If price isn't as much as a factor, I would also recommend Gary Danko (www.garydanko.com), Quince (www.quincerestaurant.com), and Boulevard (www.boulevardrestaurant.com).

  2. My favorite place is Yang Sing, they serve dim sum, and I go there with my family for brunch.-I don't know the cost b/c my parents pay-sry..

  3. sunday brunch  the st francis ice cream parlor on 24th st

dinner  the old cllam house on bayshore

  4. I am not sure what your idea of expensive is....There are hundreds of restaurants in SF. I think your best bet is to look on Zagat for information that best suits you.
