I am doing something called a BTEC first diploma IT which is worth 4 GCSEs do you think the USA will recognise this as part of the 5 GCSEs i need a C grade or above in?

  1. Hi Just thought I would let you know - we moved to Orlando in July 2008 after my daughter did her GCSE's here in N Ireland ( 6 A*, 5A's and 1 B she got) paid a large sum to put her into a private high school she graduated in May 2010 - now we have moved back to the UK - I applied to UCAS to get her into Uni - no can do - I was told High School Diploma is only equal to 5 GCSE's !!!!  so she is really upset as she feels she has just wasted 2 years and the chance to go to UNI to do Pre -med ..  she is thinking of going to a technical college to do 2  A Levels at night class (thats the max she can do in a year) she is planning 2 this year and 2 next year - pushing her age to almost 21 before she can go to uni ---- whish we had of know this before we went out.
Good luck with your move hope it works out better than ours did - theres more to life than florida sunshine!!!!
