O.k. , make your own list, it doesnt have to be 5. I am just curious as to what the priorities are.

Is it friendly service?, price point?, fast service?, food quality (if so, what specificaly)?, clientel of the restaurant- (is "the" place to be?), restaurant decor and style?, Nearby location, or easy to get to, or park at? Chosen for buisness or pleasure? new and inovative, or traditional dinning? ,etc...

Make your own list of whats important to you.

  1. 1.price of food

    2. service

    3. food portion

    4. cleanliness

    5. attitude from hostess

  2. I like a decent waiter/waitress. One that is not pushy and over you like a hawk but is also around just enough without disappearing on you, hardly ever to be found.

  3. NUMBER 1  HOMEMADE     and from scratch

I would like a diner that features a 'Blue Plate" special, meatloaf, real mashed potatoes, gravy,a good looking vegetable a nice salad,  A good variety of salads, sandwiches, with a good choice of breads, Real soup not out of a can, Quality rather than Quantity .From your picture I think you are looking for upscale dinning. I am tired of canned soup watery salads, bottled dressing, fast food,Denny's. Restaurants  have such a high failure rate. It is hard to please every ones taste, but that is where I would spend my money.a different feature every day Mexican, spaghetti&meatballs, stuffed green peppers,  Home made pies and really good coffee and nice coffee cups, maybe a choice of coffee cups. I like a big cup shape, others like clear glass, mugs.

  4. For me it's:

    1.Cleanliness

    2.Kind service

    3.Good food

    4.Fast service

nothing else really matters, it's what you make it. :)

  5. clean

    quality food

    quality service

  6. 1. Food quality - freshness and variety. And quality must match the price, don't feed me low quality overpriced stuff!

    2. Service - friendly and fast!

    3. Cleanliness - both staff and the surroundings.

That's about it. I am also very picky how I want my food cooked, there is nothing worse than an overcooked fillet or well done tunasteak. I will send my food back if it is not cooked the way I ordered it!

  7. 1. Clean environment (washroom, dishes, everything)

    2. Good service

    3. Food quality :)

    4. Good company

    5. Polite waiter/waitress

  8. Not necessarily in order of importance:

    1. Parking needs to be easy to get to and free or at least partially validated.  I don't want to run out every half hour to feed a parking meter.

    2. Music needs to be quiet, or at least so I don't have to lean half way across the table and read fellow diner's lips.

    3. The salad needs to be fresh.  Old lettuce has an odd, bitter flavor and smell that is really off-putting.  Oh, and leave the dressing on the side.  I don't want my salad swimming.

    4. Use local ingredients if at all possible.  It helps the local economy.

    5. Make booth seating fit short people, too.  I have to put my purse behind my back just to be close enough to the table and my feet rarely reach the floor.  At a touch over 5 feet tall, I really should be able to reach the floor, but it's rare.

  9. 1. Clean place (Nothing makes me sicker than seeing little "animals" or hairs or whatever in a restaurant floor or walls....)

    2. Food quality (it's also nice that they have a friendly service but if not.....what the h**l, I go for the food not for the people....My food has to be tasty, nice at sight and well prepared)

    3. Easy to park at (I prefer to have my car around for safety issues)

    4. Fast service (I'm not asking for a "less than 3 minutes"....but please please please don't make me wait more than half an hour....

    5. Traditional, new and innovative all in one (It attracts more people 'cause there's different kind of food....and it gives you options if you are not sure what you are actually looking for)

  10. I am disabled so my visit to a restaurant should be barrier free with accommodations that meet the requirements for my wheelchair and special needs.  It is always a plus when greeted by a smiling host.  Cleanliness is of the utmost importance, lots of germs can thrive in food establishments.  The food; it's display and taste will be a true test of 'is it worth the cost?'  Refills, no one likes to take a bite of food and have to choke it down because the waiter/waitress has failed to keep those glasses full.  Waiting is the big turn off.  No one wants to wait an hour just to be seated.  so,

Wheelchair access ability, cleanliness, food taste and presentation, friendly, fast and competent servers.  Earn that tip baby!

  11. friendly staff,  clean  ,outdoor dining ..with trees and flowers.  good food , good scenery, fast service, good music  live  or jazz  .

  12. My priorities:

#1 Food Quality. If I want to eat sysco food out of a box I'll go to Dennys. To many people think they can cook because they can heat up frozen food or open a box. I want quality, fresh 'homemade' type food. I mean.. why would I be eating out if I wasn't after good food for my #1 priority?

#2 Atmosphere. Is the place clean.. comfortable and inviting? I wouldn't go eat at a dump..

#3 Staff- This includes being friendly, on top of things.. good service is hard to come by at most ANY restaurant these days. Staff assume they deserve tips so they don't work for them. I want a place that's on top of things.. as I go out to be served not to be irritated that the same guy has walked by my table and didn't offer me more water even though my waitress was busy taking another persons order or something like that.

#4 Price- Price isn't a top priority.. if the first 3 things are covered we will go there. Claim Jumper is a very expensive (for two of us its easily 70 bucks) restaurant but my husband and I eat there at least twice a month because they have the top 3 priorities covered. I'd much rather go to this restaurant twice a month then be able to go to a similar type of restaurant 4 times based on price alone. The other three priorities make the choice easy.

#5 Location, "place to be etc" none of that c**p matters to me.. if the food is good, the atmosphere staff and pricing hit it head on then I will go wherever it takes me.

  13. Actually, from my memories when I was eating out a lot, I think the most important thing was the company.  Sure I would remember if the food was lousy, but my enjoyment was most dependant on my dinner companion/s.But:--

1/Food taste (only Italian!, not too many spices)

    2/  Not over airconditioned

    3/Cost

4/Proximity to home (can i walk there)

    5/Friendly, not superior, waiters

  14. Being greeted when we walk in.

Being promptly waited on (atleast for drink orders)

Not having a cluttered table (menus, salt/pepper, etc)

I refuse to be seated near a bathroom (YUCK!)

If restaurant is going to be a busy place I think they should accept reservations. It's ridiculous to have a ''planned'' romantic date and have to wait 90 minutes for a table. PLUS, if you have small children, they cannot wait for that long AND sit still at dinner.

These are my top 5 and most are equally important. But obviously the most important thing to me is friendly service.

OH - and men working there need to have short hair and no facial hair, and women need to wear their hair up.  I went to a sandwich place the other day where they make the sandwich right in front of you, and the guy had the most disgusting long frizzy hair...no hair net - nothing. OMG I totally lost my appetite and didn't even want to eat the sandwich he made me.

  15. 1- Good company (nothing to do with the restaurant but this point can be very bias on how we judge your foods)

    2- Reasonable price

3- Good decor and atmosphere (this include friendly services and cleanliness)

4- Good foods (both in quality and quantity)

5- Easy access (like location, parking, booking)

  16. hi, i honestly think that a great place for dinning out should accommodate every person in terms of food, style, atmosphere, and really comfort-ability- this would have to be a big res. like a buffet kinda, with all sorts of traditional food- all over the world recipes good music, freedom of everything - laughter's, mingling, (preferably a room where we would all sit on one big & long streemed table like.) networking with people in a different way- clubs are out of style- the "in" thing now is to dine out with friends at decent place tranquil places- besides that's where you meet the "high class/hot/fly" business men (i'm a girl). if i feel like going out, i always pick such places- peacefull like and comfortable.

  17. obviously, your dining companion/s is the main point. but after that it has to be the food. freshness, particularly vegetables, none of your frozen rubbish.

    cleanliness.

    friendly staff.

comfortable surroundings-not cluttered or squashed in.

bistro types are fine for easy going dates and meeting friends.

something more traditional maybe for a serious date.

depends what sort of clientele you're trying to attract.
