5 Reasons why Arsenal can win the League – Part 3

4. Squad Strength
Some might argue that Arsenal do not have enough top quality defenders to win the league title, but the attacking talent at Emirates is in abundance and more than enough to compensate for their slightly shaky defence.
Arsenal’s goal keeping problems seem to have come to an end with both http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lukasz-Fabianski-c22910 and Szczesny convincing Arsene Wenger not to splash any cash on a goal keeper, just yet.
The media perception that Arsenal’s defence is too shaky and leaks in goals quite easily is right in many ways, but isn’t totally correct. In fact, Arsenal have the 4th best defensive record in the league with only their rivals, Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City conceding less than their 22 goals for the season so far.
Considering they have been without their best defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thomas-Vermaelen-c35002 throughout the campaign, it’s a decent enough achievement. Arsene Wenger has stated that the Gunners are in the market for a centre back and if they can secure the services of a top class centre half then they can really push on their title chase.
The midfield and the attack is an area Arsenal have never been short of quality. With the return of van Persie, Arsenal now have http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-Vela-c8558, Denilson and Eboue are looking to get a game at the moment. Once Diaby is back from injury he will add to the midfield options that Arsene Wenger has at his disposal.
Arsenal look strong squad-wise which will play a huge part towards the end of the season. Wenger can chop and change without really changing his formation or the quality of his starting eleven. The players on the bench are more than capable of deputising in place of the star players, as many of them have successfully done this season.
5. The Desire and Belief
Even http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 have won a champions League and an FA Cup since Arsenal last won a trophy. Their FA cup triumph in 2004-05 season seems like a long time ago (in fact it is long) and they last won the league in 2003-04 season – the season they went unbeaten throughout the campaign.
This is the year they finally have the belief that they can go all the way. Wenger has taken half a decade to rebuild this side. After the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Freddie-Ljungberg-c14143 left; Wenger replaced them with young blood.
Their lack of experience has been there for everyone to see in the last couple of seasons. However, majority of this bunch of players have now been playing together for quite some time and know each other’s strengths and weaknesses. It really does help a lot in terms of team unity.
This is a young and ambitious Arsenal side who have the desire and passion needed to go all the way. Fabregas has stated on numerous occasions this season, that they are now ready for a title challenge.
Since winning against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, Arsenal have looked a different side. They have self belief and it reflects in their play. The togetherness they have shown this season is something which has been missing from previous seasons.
Arsenal have managed to grind out results from difficult situations this season, a trait that have could not have been associated with any of the recent Arsenal sides. They used to dwell under pressure and failed to close out games.
This season has been different and Arsenal have managed to kill games off against the likes of Blackburn and Birmingham. Their self belief and desire to win is more than ever before and this is something, in which they surely are ahead of their rivals.
