My preferences in Firenze are:

1. Ufizzi

2. Academia

3. Pitti Palace

4. Duomo and Batistery

and 5 don't forget the number 7 bus to Fiesole

Personally, I like the Uffizi Gallery, Palazzo Vecchio, the view from Piazza Michelangelo and the walk through the rose garden back down to the city, Santa Croce, and the Orsanmichele.

There are a lot of other places to visit... Ponte Vecchio, the Accademia, the Bargello, the museums at Pitti Palace, Boboli Gardens, the facade of the Duomo Giotto's tower and the Baptistry, San Mineato al Monte, Santa Maria Novello church, Santa Maria del Carmine, Santa Trinita ... I often go for lunch and to see the attractions.
