Question:

5 k training?

im planing to run many 5k's as well as the 1600 and 3200 for track i need to get my mile times down to 5:30 in about 4 months time is this possible and anyone have a trainging regiment i could follow?

  1. Start running every day, race with friends every other day in shorter sprints and do that a couple of times a day.  Get your body in shape, the longer distances will come with conditioning, the speed with the sprints and repetition.

    One of the best distance runners ever ran about 50 miles a day when training for the Olympics. It takes time and I am too old to run a marathon or even a mile any more.
