Question:

5 month old only naps in swing?

My little guy has always been a great sleeper up until a couple of days ago. He refuses to let me put him to sleep in my arms, and there is absolutely no way I can put him in his crib for him to fall asleep on his own. He's been so grumpy and the only thing that puts him to sleep is his swing. I do believe he's starting the whole teething process but I just don't want to create any bad habits of him needing the swing to fall asleep. Advice?

  1. My son did the same thing for a few months then we got a new puppy and he tore the swing cushion up and i never put him in it anymore so now, when he gets tired and is playing around on the floor, he falls asleep on his own. he will get over it. just let him sleep that way if he wants to .

  2. Try letting him fall asleep in the swing and then pick him up soon after he falls asleep and if he wakes up try rocking him then, and then move him to his bed. I work with infants in a daycare and that has worked a lot for me. Good luck!!

  3. just as he instantly changed on you, he will instantly change from wanting the swing only again.  Its a wirl wind, and you need to be open and ready for change when you have a baby :) GL let him have his swing

  4. My dauther did the same thing  .She always what to be in the swin so she can fall asleep.

Take him  a bath and give him warm milk and rock him  to sleep that work with my daughter.

    Good Luck?
