  1. he could be blind?

what hair colour does he have? if it is white he could be suffering from albinism

  2. DONT PANIC YET! my goodness you have no idea how children are all compltely different do you? HES 5 MONTHS, give him a break hes still getting used to the world. Signs and symptoms shouldnt even be considered until at LEAST 1 year. Plus even then every child progresses differently. my son just started saying full sentences at 3 yrs and my 14 onths daughter can bascailly repeat any word ya tell her! as long as your baby is healthy and eating then you have nothing to worry about.  give him a chance he'll come around fast and then it FLIES by so enjoy his smiles and beautiful face!

  3. It's true that babies all develop differently, but there are stages where they should be doing some of the same things.  babies usually start grabbing for things between 3 and 5 months, but won't necessarily grab onto them until 7 or 8 months. If you don't already have one, you might consider buying a play gym, you know the ones where the baby lays on the mat and there are "arms" attached to it which go over the top of the baby and have things dangling down for them to reach at?  Or try tummy time and put his favourite toy or rattle just out of reach and encourage him to grab for it.  make a game out of it and he will soon start grabbing for things.  Good luck!
