Okay so as I was just sitting here answering other peoples questionI got this weird feeling in my stomach as I sometimes do when baby rolls around or does somersaults it feels like but below my belly button where my uterus is was extremely hard and lasted about 1 minute. Was that where the baby was lying or was it Braxton Hicks contractions? I have read about them but didn't think they started until later in the pregnancy. There was no pain just felt really hard for a minute then went away.. Thank you! By the way, I am 21 weeks 1 day pregnant!

  1. Most likely it was your baby sitting in a weird position. My little guys loves to do that do me. As long as there was no pain I would say that it was not a Braxton Hicks. Congrats on the little one.

  2. I know what you mean. when my baby is underneath my belly button and moving around its very uncomfortable. at times I feel a lot of pressure like she is either pushing against something or flipping. I have felt hardness there and sometimes I know its her cause ill push down and shell feel me and move. I think it was probably your baby in there you felt. .  can they stretch at this stage? lol it sure feels like it.

  3. I think it was a braxton hick. Congratulations. You actually have braxton hicks from the very first month of the pregnancy. You only begin to feel them now. They do become painful towards the end of your pregnancy but its all in preparation. Good luck.

  4. just sounds like a foot or something popping out. haha. i remember freaking out about that stuff too.

  5. I doubt it was Braxton Hicks, you are a little to early for that. I get those too from time to time. I am not sure what they technically are, but my doc wrote them off as "growing pains" when I asked about them.

  6. I don't think it was braxton hicks. Just the wonderful pains you get during pregnancy.
