  1. 1) C or D....Lake turnover will move the nutrients around, but the actual refreshing may be eutrophication.  Eutrophication for the most part is overloading of nutrients which isn't the same.  its a tough call and is a much harder question than it should be

    2) A....wetlands are great buffers of flooding during heavy storms

    3) A....classic technology

    4) C....when your looking at a weather map with air pressure you will see lines over it that look at lot like topographic contour lines.  These are actually called isobars (which like contour lines mark the barriers between different air pressures) and when they are really really close together that means there is a big differnce in air pressure and very high winds.  When they are furhter apart there is little or no wind.

    5) A.....that creates a local change in air pressure and therefore local winds.
