5 ways in which Barcelona or Real Madrid can emerge victorious in the 'El Clasico' (Part 3)
Five ways in which Barcelona can make it 5 in a row:
While concentrating in the midfield, Barcelona can exploit their play making maestro Xavi Hernandez and also Andres Iniesta who is simply phenomenal whenever he makes a run forward. Andres Iniesta is a different player than Lionel Messi
and Xavi Hernandez as his game play lies between both the players as he can dribble the ball, he can also play wonderful passes for his team that can lead to goal scoring.
Another way through which Barcelona can win the “el Clasico,” is by slowing down the game. It sounds very odd that even with players like Daniel Alves, Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi in the squad, the Catalan giants “should” slow down
the game; but the reason remains the same as before that Real Madrid have very speedy players compared to Barcelona.
If the Catalan giants slow their tempo down then the team is going to create wonderful chances and Real Madrid are going to find it hard to contain the possession of the ball. Barcelona are best at keeping a grip on the ball and they are
definitely the best at creating the best chances in the Spanish La Liga by slowly building up from behind.
Real Madrid are completely relying on counter attacking football and this is not because Mourinho is using his “defensive” tactics but because his side has a lot of pace up front and with Angel Di Maria, Mesut Ozil, Cristiano Ronaldo and
Gonzalo Higuain deployed up front, there is no defence in the world that can slow them down as they are the fastest attacking unit in not only Europe but the world.
The last but not the least, Barcelona have to consider all their chances once they have managed to come in front of goal. Of course with Zlatan Ibrahimovic gone, there is no “heading” advantage in the middle and with players like Ricardo
Carvalho in Real Madrid’s defence, it is definitely going to be hard for the Catalan giants to score a goal over a cross. However, David Villa is a player of his own class and the newly signed Spanish striker can do wonders while being one-on-one with any
goalkeeper in the world – even if it is the best goalkeeper in the world like Iker Casillas.
Last season, it was Lionel Messi who could not finish the ball into the net while being one-on-one with Casillas. It is true that earlier during that game the Argentinean maestro managed to score a goal after playing a quick one two with
the Spanish midfielder Xavi Hernandez. Both of them combined well and after a few combined touches from both of them, Lionel Messi found himself alone in front of Casillas and the best player in the world made no mistake in planting the ball into the net.
However, later he missed a chance to make it 0-3 for his side and this time he cannot make such a mistake, not even for once as his side really needs to record a win in order to win the Spanish La Liga title for the third time in a row.
