5 ways in which Barcelona or Real Madrid can emerge victorious in the ‘El Clasico’ (Part 4)
Five ways in which Real Madrid can end Barcelona’s streak:
After analysing how Barcelona can win the El Clasico for the fifth time in a row, now we’re going to look into how the Los Blancos can work their ways through in order to win the El Clasico after two years.
It is true that if there is one team that can put a stop to Barcelona it is the Spanish side Real Madrid. They have managed to buy almost all the best players from all around the world – talents like Cristiano Ronaldo, Mesut Ozil, Sami
Khedira, Angel Di Maria and Karim Benzema made their way to the Los Blancos and they are definitely a few of those names that can change cause of the whole game.
One way how Real Madrid can easily take this El Clasico is by putting stops on one of the best goal scorers for Barcelona, Lionel Messi. It is true that the Catalan giants are not totally relying on the Argentinean maestro but there is
not a single doubt that Messi is the one who is at the start and end of everything positive that the Spanish Champions create. The second goal against the Greek Champions Panathinaikos simply explains why Messi is considered to be the best player for his side.
He started the move and finished it off by sliding in to get the goal that his side needed to double their lead.
Lionel Messi is going to be featuring on his favourite right flank and it is the Brazilian full back Marcelo who is going to be handed the job to stop the Argentinean’s threat on the flank. Messi is a floating striker but whenever he is
going to be on the right flank he is definitely going to try his best to take advantage of Marcelo’s lack of defending ability and that is what Mourinho has to work on. He needs to deploy Xabi Alonso in such a position that he can close down the gaps between
Marcelo and Lionel Messi so that the Argentinean cannot take advantage of Real Madrid’s weaker left flank.
It is true that Lionel Messi has never scored a goal against a side managed by Jose Mourinho and the reason why that happened is because the Portuguese tactician does his homework. He knows how to position his players in order to stop
a threat like Lionel Messi and that is exactly why Inter Milan won the semi final against Barcelona – Lionel Messi was quite throughout the game and he just couldn’t find his way past the Inter defence who were concentrated in stopping him from cutting in.
Whenever Lionel Messi is given space, he always takes advantage of it as the “little man” can always out run any defender on the planet, even for a fast full back like Marcelo. Lionel Messi is the biggest threat for Los Blancos and if
they really want to win they need to stop the Argentinean in case they want to win or even draw a game at the Nou Camp, the home of Barcelona.
