5 week old formula for him?

My 5 week old drinks 6 ounces is that normal?

sometimes only 3-5

very normal dont worry about that all all. let him drink as much as he would like. my doctor told me you would rather want him full then hungry and it is ok to let him eat what he wants right now. my son is nine weeks old and the doctor has him on 6oz of formula and cereal at each feeding

yes, that is normal.. some 5 week olds drink 2 bottles some barley drink at all.  

If you are concerned, do what I did because my daughter only drank about 2 ounces if that at a time.  switch to premature nipples.  they are softer, and some babies have a hard time sucking this makes it easier for them to suck.  he wil gradualy drink more.

I read that you take how many months your baby is- so in your case 1 then add 2 to that and that is how many ounces your baby should drink around at one sitting. So a 1 month old baby should drink around 3 ounces. But all babies are different. If you think it is too much, as your pediatrician about it.
