I found out a little over a week ago I was pregnant. I've had one miscarriage in the past and was a little worried with this one. I've been having a lot of symptoms like fatigue, nausea, cramping, breast swollen and hurt....but today I decided to take another pregnancy test to take a picture with my husband (around 5 in the afternoon) but the 2nd line barely showed up at all. I'm a little worried because I thought my levels would be increasing and it would definetly be 2 pink lines. What do you think is wrong??

  1. Probably less hormone in your pee. The morning is the best time to take a test. Go to the doc. just to make sure everything's ok.

  2. I know that my pregnancy tests got fainter the further along I was.  I'm now 27 weeks and everything looks good so I wouldn't take that as a sign that something is wrong.  Probably has something to do with the amount and/or concentration of the dye, not your hormone level.  To be sure, have blood tests done to make sure the levelsare rising appropriately.  Congrats on the pregnancy!

  3. i had three neg test with my 2nd, but i took them all mid day and evening, the best time for test is the very first pee in the morning, mid stream if possible, try not to worry about anything, its not good for you even thou its hard. give it few more days then take another test in the morning, i hope all goes well for u hunny i really do.

  4. Your urine could be too dilute if you drank a lot of water today. I would take one tomorrow with the first morning urination, or go get one of those digital ones that says "Pregnant." I took one of those when I found out and it was very exciting to see the word "Pregnant," other than just 2 lines.

  5. This is why tests with lines suck... get a digital test.

  6. Unless it's so faint that you have to squint to see it, don't worry.  The darkness of the line doesn't have anything to do with how far along you are.  For example, a line isn't going to be darker at 7 weeks then at 6 weeks.  It's just how that particular test's ink reacts at that particular instance.  The only exception is when you are VERY newly pregnant and there's barely any hormone in your urine for the ink to react to.  The lack of hormone creates the "I have to squint to see it line."  Now, if you are getting one of these lines, it may mean that your hormone is decreasing, so you might want to call your doc's office and see if he will run a quantitative blood test.  Good luck and congrats!
