5 year old boy who shot classmate years and years ago? Name?

Years and years ago, when I was young, I was watching the news and remember the top story about how a little boy [In Ny, I think] had an argument with another little girl classmate of his. He borrowed his uncle's gun [I think his parents were on business or something] and he hid the gun in his backback and at school shot her?

Does anyone remember this story? Or what the kids name was? I want to know what happened to him today.
