  1. I'm still against it.

  2. I think this would have been over a long time ago if the military was in charge of it. There is too much political maneuvering. It was the same for Korea and Vietnam, The politicians need to let the military run wars, that's what they get paid for.

  3. The surge worked. We have turned the corner-we have the war won. But if we pull out now all that we have sacrificed and worked for will be lost.

  4. Well, it's been expensive and cost many young lives. I think the original intent was good, but I think I no longer care if the Middle East blows itself up and turns into glass. If they didn't have oil, no one would care one bit about them. Well, I'm willing to go into shock by losing their oil. We'd be over it in ten years, and they could all go to h**l in their savage world. I hate to see any country at war, but they seem to like it over there.

  5. I still support our troops AND their mission.

  6. They should just admit that they are there for oil. Take the oil, and the world would be a happier place. Especially me since petrol is 8 dollars a gullon where i live. (New Zealand)

  7. Honestly .......... I am fed up with the lack of ambition of the Iraqi people to take control of their own destiny or country.

I am also not buying the Democrats "get out as soon as possible " speeches.

They are only interested in votes & want to wait until at least 2009 and a new administration to approve any withdrawal of troops ....... so they lost me on their supportive worry about peace and the troops.

Rep. Bill Delahunt (D-Mass.), who has conducted hearings on the proposed agreements between Washington and Baghdad, said that the next administration should conduct the negotiations. "They are the ones who are going to have to live with whatever agreement is struck,"

Gees he is part of the committee working on the agreements and he doesn't want the next admin. living with something he is part of -- what is he doing in Washington?

The military is handing over regions , cities & security hand over fist -

Then all the Iraqi seem to do is say they want the military gone but

they don't follow through - all they have to do is go to the UN & enforce the resolution that expires at the end of 2008.

Thumb down my opinion if  you want .......but unless you have a family member serving there  You can kiss sand fleas

  8. Costly in blood and in treasure, but worthwhile. Removing dictatorships in the Middle East is how you end international terrorism.

We deposed Saddam because we weren't willing to ASSUME he was harmless. We were right to do it.
