Question:

50 Meters Underwater?

Hey all,

I'm trying out different options in training to swim 50 meters underwater. I'm giving myself two years to accomplish (and hopefully surpass it for confidence).

1) What's the best training method for this (I have regular access to a pool)?

2) Which is the best stroke to use?

  1. i would use breaststroke or butterfly which ever one do u think u will be able to get father faster GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. i use breast stroke under water

make sure you do one long breathe dont repeatedly breath in and out before you go under the water incase you hyperventilate.

lifeguards at pools do or should advise people not to swim more than 8metres under water.

  3. 50 meters underwater is way too much

even 50 ft is too much

the pressure in the water that deep might be very harmful 2 ur body

  4. I would dolphin kick, (butterfly kick) the 50m. It's the fastest after training, but it'll take some practice and hard training. Core muscles are very important, so I would do core exersices and also work your abs. I would do short repeats of fast underwater kicking on a set interval, like 25m's on :40. I've done 2 1/2 laps (62yds) no breathing before, so I know it can be done :]  good luck!
