  1. A bearded dragon is one of the calmest and easiest to handle lizards available. If a beardie was too mean for you then I wouldn't suggest getting a lizard at all.

  2. Sounds like a roomy tank for a nice corn snake.  Most corn snakes are docile and take to being handled rather well.  Kids love snakes these days (my how times have changed!).  And snakes make such good examples of "just because it looks scary, doesn't mean it is."

  3. A ball python is a great pet. They grow to be 4ft  max and they are very docile creatures. They got their name because they "ball " up when an enemy is near or they feel threatened. I also feel that a fear of snakes is a learned and often unwarranted reaction seeings how only 15% of the worlds snake population is a threat to humans. Little underlying life lesson about prejudice and fear.

  4. you can get a leopard gecko but thats the only lizard. you could try a small snake like a sand boa or rubber boa you could also check out rosy boas.. they are extremely nice and small. here is a care sheet on all four

    hope this helped

  5. I would go with gecos or iguanas.frogs and chameleons are nice, too.

  6. i know you are asking about lizards but kingsnakes or cornsnakes would be great.  they don't need to be fed ever day so if school is out for a week or so no one needs to take the snake home...just check on it every few days to make sure it's ok.
