  1. Congratulations. You won free spam for life.

  2.   Rule #1. You never get something for nothing. Chances are overwhelming that they will want something from you. I received an e-mail just the other day telling me I had won a free laptop and monitor. I immediately deleted it.

I saw one ad other the internet yesterday that congratulated me for being the 1 millionth visitor and that I had just won $500 dollars. I left that area and went someplace else. I came back the next day and it still says I'm the one millionth. It never changes. Gimme a break. It disgusts me that these con-artist put this stuff in email and on the net but even worse is that people actually believe it.

I saw a Time mag. article one time that showed a guy who lost $7000

all together just to get a couple of million. All he had to do was travel to Nigeria. He did...He lost...money.

  3. 9 times out of 10 that it is a scam. If you want to know for sure, contact Target or whoever (I've seen Costco and Walmart to name a few) and ask them directly if they do these kinds of promotions. Chances are that they don't.

  4. I really doubt that it's true. Anyone can just copy their logos onto their websites to fool you. They probably just want your personal info to spam you. I would ignore it and other similar e-mails unless they are from a a trusted source.

  5. I wouldn't trust it. Here's a good rule to follow: If it sounds too good to be true, it normally is.

  6. It is "Fake" and a scam so (Don't give out personal information)  Oh I see that it is toooooo late as you have already gave out your information. OH Boy, now you will get lots of spam email and they even have your name, home address, phone number, and email address. Ok so the damage hs already been done, and all you can do now is to make sure that you have your (Phishing filter on, and block email advertising (mark it as spam email)  You probably will be getting lots of junk mail in your home mail box also. This is a lesson to be learned letting you know "Not"  believe what you see or read most of the time ok. There are lots of scammers out in the cybro world and lots of scams going on so be very careful when sites ask for personal information or filling out forms. Good Luck and be safe.
