I am looking to buy a 50cc ATV for my daughter and can't decide between the Cheetah Prowler or the Honda? Any recommendations?

  1. There is a lot of no name c**p out there nowadays however if you are comparing a Cheetah to a Honda you are pretty much dealing with apples and apples.

Cheetah has a good reputation and the quality is there so you have to look at other factors. They both have a 1 year warranty. They both have national servicing. They both stock parts for their ATVs.

However, Honda has had 4 ATV recalls in the past 3 years, Cheetah Motorsports has had none. Most importantly Honda does not make a 50cc ATV, Quad. They start at 90cc.

After all these factors all you are really left with is price. The Cheetah Prowler is around $500-600 and a used Honda (about 4 years old) would cost you $1200-$1500 and new it would cost $2,749.

I don't think there is any question the Prowler is the way to go, specially for an 8 year old.

  2. I've never owned a Cheetah but I have a 92' Honda and it still runs good.

  3. I have a Cheetah Cruiser (scooter) and my husband has a Cheetah Predator.  We haven't any problems with either of them.  We sold a Banshee about 3 years ago and bought the 2 Cheetahs. I couldn't imagine spending that much money on a Honda again. I'd go with the Cheetah.

  4. You can buy like 4 Cheetah Prowlers for the cost of 1 Honda.

  5. My 9 year old nephew has had a Prowler for about 2 1/2 years and loves it to death. He abuses it like there's no tomorrow and it runs like a champ. If I had to pick one I'd go with Prowler.

  6. Dude no question, Cheetah Prowler
