the metal flap descends onto a pin when u give gas, or just by doing it manually on the carb. If i took the carb apart, and was holding the bottom half of it in my hand( the float bowl) , the pin would be on the exterior part- on the outside of the bowl. When i push this pin in(downward--the part the metal flap pushes when the throttle is given), gas will squirt up, like a squirt gun. Anyway, my questions are: what are these- flap and pin, called. Now the main thing i want to know now, is...(if i can word this right)....--- what would be an ideal position for the flap if it was bent up or down. Pretty much i mean if i bent the flap down, and if i gave it gas, the flap will push down and descend the pin at at an earlier point when engaging the throttle. And if i bent the flap up-- the flap would descend the pin at a later point in the engagement. Also how do these work in relation to each other. I dont know if i can ask just one question. Thanks for reading. I hope u can help.
