We have had a scavenger hunt for one, a travel back in time for another, a game night for another. Now it's our turn . He doesn't want a party he keeps telling me to have it in Hawaii so no one comes:) any Ideas of something VERY unique and fun that he would love? oh we did a murder mystery for another. I though maybe casino night as I could say were in Vegas but not sure even with the adult nieces and Nephews if I would have enough people? need help it's in Dec but planning is everything to me as I am a caterer with a large mental block right now

  1. Do a Hawaiian theme, you know with the Hawaiian shirts and the ladies in dresses and leis, flowers in hair, etc,

    Tropical drinks, etc.

  2. It's not terribly unique, but since he wanted it in Hawaii, bring Hawaii to HIM!  You can get summer Hawaiian patio decor on sale now, and Oriental Trading Co. has a ton of stuff on their website.  I especially like the grass skirts that go around tables; and the blow-up palm trees:)  Home Depot has solar tiki torches.  ...  Or you could make it a Caribbean Cruise, which would be similar;  have shuffleboard and bingo games.  Get some cruiseline travel posters to put around...

  3. make a dvd with his history, childhood pix.music.what were the fashionable toys when he was little or that sant brought him.see if u can get a piece in ebay maybe.

surprise him by finding his best friends from childhood or highschool.

have of course his favorite dishes.

dress as was the fashion when he was in highschool or when he went out partying when he was 20.or dress as some of his old pix.and make it a theme.if he was into say, saturday night fever...then dress like that.or if he was a footoolse fan..etc.

    have tons of fun!

  4. Hawaiian luau would be perfect since he had suggested it! you can tell him "since we can't afford to send you to Hawaii, we'll bring Hawaii to you!" have a pig roast and other Hawaiian inspired foods like sea foods and tropical fruits. drinks in coconut cups with umbrellas, maybe even hire a hula dancer or fire breather for some entertainment!
