52 inch rear projection lcd tv has a green spot on it?

i have a 52 inch rear projection t.v. bought about a year and 10 months ago suddenly has a green spot on it but only on one side the spot is about 5 inches and is a round spot but the rest of the picture is fine and i dont know what i could be , just started yesterday...... help

Do you have small children? If you do they got one of their magnetic letters too close to the screen. You need to have it degaussed. That will clear up the mysterious green spot. All TV screens have particles that react to magnetics. Here's a link to help:

Is there a chance the TV has been bumped lately? You color guns may be misaligned.
