  1. "SP" - the reason the ellinorianne is giving percentages is probably because raw vote numbers don't account for population growth.

The US population isn't stagnant across elections, so the only way to compare overall general election numbers is via percentaages.

As for how many wish they could take their vote back - it's pretty obviously a leading question, but I just don't think Kerry was the right candidate.  The Democrats really squandered an opportunity there.  I do know voters who would have voted for any seemingly viable candidate, which many of them did not think Kerry was.  They were frustrated with Bush and ready to vote for someone else, but that someone else wasn't Kerry.

  2. Not nearly as many as you, and the media, would have us believe.

Edit - ROFLMAO, this is tooooo funny!  If the President "stole" the election where is the proof?  You all tell us how stupid he is, but now he's smart enough to steal an election..... Get over it, Kerry lost, Gore lost, and Hillary will lose...........

  3. I changed my mind the day W refused to let the illegal amnesty bill (he wanted w/ ol' Kennedy) die in congress.

  4. Minor thing SP "Stupid Person", Clinton won by 8 million votes, 16% more than Dole.

Bush lost by a few hundred thousand in 2000 and won by only 3 million in 2004, only 4% or if you use math, a quarter of what Clinton won by.

You can throw numbers around but they don't mean much

    out of context.

And if it weren't for Nader, Gore would have won, your point?

BTW SP, it's pretty cheap to go to a personal question of mine and comment this.  It's one thing if you don't agree with my logic, it's another to accuse someone of being a drinker because I've proved you wrong:

Sounds like you may have a drinking problem and are getting an ulcer. Lay off the sauce.

  5. Just because someone was tricked by a pollster into saying that they don't approve of the job Bush is doing right now DOES NOT IN ANY WAY mean that they wish they voted for JOHN KERRY FOR CHRISTS SAKE!!!!!!!!!

  6. I would say about 3/4 of them.

Fact is that figure you gave is the figure we knew or at least were told... that doesn't cover all those votes just thrown away in Florida and the hanky panky by the Republicans in other states.. so it really is hard to know just how many actually did vote for Bush.

  7. That's 10,000,000 more than voted for Clinton.

More than that were for going to war with Iraq.

How many Million are now wafflers and have changed  their minds?

Ellinorainne;  If it weren't for Ross Perot ,Billy would never have been elected in the first place.

And when a questions refers to raw numbers and you answer with percentages you are trying to distort the facts and that makes it irrelevant to the question.

  8. If they were dumb enough to have voted for Bush in the last election, they would probably be dumb enough to continue to support him.  Though I believe that number is a lot larger than the number of Americans who actually voted for Bush.  The ones who went out to vote and stood in those long lines for hours were certainly NOT waiting to vote for more of the same!

  9. 2%

  10. Well, I voted for him in 2000, because I didn't want any remnant of the Clinton administration in the White House. I bought into Bush's promise to "change the tone" and be a "compassionate conservative." Then after 9/11, he turned the GOP into another Big Government party that just wants to kill, kill, kill.

Fool me once, shame on you ... I voted Libertarian in 2004. I still can't believe the Dems couldn't come up with anything better than Kerry.

  11. Come on! the alternative was Kerry! As dumb and incompetent as Bush occaisionally acts all the time, heh heh, I'd still pick his stupid monkey brain over Kerry.
