  1. Try and plan your flight during a time when your child normally sleeps.

Feed or give a pacifier during take off and landing.

realize that your child WILL NOT HAVE A SEAT unless you pay for one for him, and you will have to hold him in your lap the entire trip.

Plan to gate check your stroller and/or carseat

take as little as possible in the way of diapers, etc, and plan to buy there to save space in your luggage, and plan to take only a carry on.

Use a sling or front carrier on the plane to contain your child if you do not buy him a seat.  Bring plenty of small quiet toys and snacks to distract him if he is not sleeping.  (your tray table will probably not drop if you have a child in your lap!)

    good luck!

  2. what to bring

    pacifier

    bottles (if you bottle feed)

    a few toys

    diapers and wipes

    burp cloths

    what to do

try to keep her awake until flight has borded then give her a bottle or her pacifier and put her to sleep. if she doesnt want to sleep give her the pacifier just so she has something to suck on while the plane takes off and her ears may pop. just keep her entertained. if she needs to get down put her on the floor in between your feet and let her play down there with a toy or two.

    good luck

  3. try to time the feeds so that the baby is suckling (breast or bottle) as you take off and especially as you come in to land.  the action of sucking will help to equalize the pressure in baby's ears and help prevent pain and crying!

other than that, make sure the flight attendants know who you are and that you have a small baby - they can take a lot of fuss off your shoulders.  change baby just before boarding - nothing worse than trying to change a diaper on a plane!

    good luck.

  4. depending on the flight time keep her awake, and then warm a bottle right before you get on, and feed her and maybe she/he will nap, then feed when she/he awakes, ad try stories or small toys.

    Good Luck!
