ok so im looking to run a 5k in about a month

i am currently running a 29 min. 5k

i know it sux dont need u to tell me that

do u think its possible t decrease my time by at least 5 min. in a month?

if so how?

  2. I think it is very possible to lower your time by 5 minutes in a month. If your not a runner i would start with some 2-3 mile runs for the first week and then the next 3 weeks run 4-5 mile  runs maybe throw in a 2 mile somewhere but try to do it fast. Most importantly take atleast one day off per week but no more than 2

  3. Possible yes. It isn't that hard to get into shape to run a 24-25 min 5k, but you need to train. Start easy run 2 miles every other day for the 1st week. week 2 same but run 3 miles every other day. week 3 run at least 4 times. Also run about 5 miles two of those days, 3 miles the other two (going hard paced for those 3 mile days). The last week run about 4 miles every other day. Don't run much or if any the day before the race 3 miles max. Hope I help. If you do this email me back.

  4. It's definitely possible. Mix distance with speed workouts. One day run for 60 minutes. The next day run 6 half mile runs at full speed. This will help to improve both your speed and stamina. Also, cross train at least once a week. Don't work out more than 6 times a week!
