5k race...can someone please tell me when and where some of the next 5k races are in columbus ohio? And please tell me how to register for them, because i have never been to a 5k race before and i want to try it out...my 5k time is 35 minutes i think...

For finding races, one of the best resources online is:

http://www.runningintheusa.com/Races.asp

Click on the link, select Ohio, and look for races in Columbus.  For example:  

7/19/2008 Saturday  Columbus Winking Lizard Tavern "A Shot in the Dark" 5K run, 1M fun run, 1M walk  Columbus, OH Franklin (County)

Once you see a race in your area, check it out further by going to its web site, for example:  http://www.hermescleveland.com/roadracin...

Registering for a race involves registering online, using a credit card, or downloading and filling out a registration form, or going to the race an hour or so in advance and registering then.

Usually the web site for the race will tell you how to go about registering.

If you have questions, email or phone the contact person for the race - that number and email address will be on the race web page, as well.

You'll have fun!  Just . . . don't go out too fast.
