  1. I was in the same boat as you last year.  And I went into the season last year out of shape and couldnt finish 6 miles first day of pracitice.  Then when the first meet came around in 3 weeks I ran an 18:41.  So i think youll be fine.  At the beginning I think youll run around 19-18 like me, altho youll prob edge me out cuz your in shape it seems.  Then at the end of it all you'll break into the 17s if you dont get injured.  Also stay away from crappy foods like candy and soda.  That will rlly help out your times and everything.  Good Luck

  2. if you can run 26:56 for 4 that's 6:44 pace soo if you just ran that pace during your race it would be around 20:47 if you had a decent kick, but i think for sure if you just ran that in practice that you could run a faster pace since its a little shorter and you got your adrenaline going cause its a race it wouldnt suprise me at all if you were under 20 minutes your first race most likely in the 19s. by the end of the year you will probably be running 18s but if you keep improving like that you never know you might even start running in the 17s which would be very good for a rookie
