my 5mth old little boy has had a constant eye infection since he was born.i take him to the doctors all the time, they say he has an infection but the antibiotics just don't work he has had them all, along with eye drops and cream he has also had swaps taken.its so bad that he cant see in the mornings as his eyes are completely stuck together. the last time the GP said that it was normal and they can have eye infections for a year!! has this every happened to you or your child? when i said that i thought his tear ducts were blocked she said' maybe we cant do anything till hes older though anyway'

I'm really worried that his eyes could get damaged. at the moment im bathing his eyes with 'steri-pods'

  1. Not normal. Get another doctor.  His eyes acn get damaged for life.  Your baby has some kind of infection in his eyes....get him on the right meds.  HUGS!!  Steroids....wrong!!!!

  2. my baby had a blocked tear duct when she was born up until 2 1/2 months, every morning or every time she napped she couldnt open her eye. I hate it. I messaged her nose passage every day while she ate and it slowly got better until it went away. I bought wipes that u can use for the face to clean her eyes. It helped.

I provided a link below of the massage u do.

  3. Put breast milk in them!

It will clear them up much better than antibiotics.

"Yep--you can use your breast milk to treat conjunctivitis. After I thought about it, this actually made a lot of sense. Breastmilk is full of antibacterial and immunological properties. "
