6' Wooden Dowel Rods?

Question

I need to find a 1" wooden dowel rod, but i need it to be 6' long. I've seen some dowel rods at hobby stores and places like that, but they are at the longest about 2-3' long. Would a place like lowes or menards or home depot carry them in this lenght, or am i going to have to go to somewhere special? And would i be more likely to find it if i go to say a lowes with an indoor lumber yard?

we went to a garden store for ours. 1" wide 6ft tall. we put them in the garden today to support our 6 ft tall tomato plants. ken matthews garden center is the name of the store but it's local. look in your local garden store. we paid $8.99 for a package of 6.
