  1. HIGH INTENSITY! People will try to convince you that long low intensity is the key to fat burning. That will work if you are going from obese to overweight. To go from overweight to healthy, athletic, you need to do high intensity training. Look at pictures from the olympics. See the marathon runners? they have very little fat, but they also have very little muscle. There really aren't any attractive female marathoners, and the men are very wirery. Now look at the sprinters. They have powerful legs, upper bodies, and are fit and s**y. That's who you want to be. So train like they do, high intensity.

  2. the question that has confused oh so many people.

in order for ur 6-pack to show up, u simple need to lose that fat over it. and how do u do that? CARDIO + eating less calories than u burn off. u can work ur ab muscles as much as u want, but unless u burn the fat off, its gonna be hard to see the 6-pack. now, if u want ur ab muscles to enlarge, u should do from 12-24 reps of watever weight u deem suitable for 5-6 sets. u can either do sit-ups with weights or try pulldowns while on ur knees (i'm not sure wat the exercise is called). remember, abs are a muscle group that is just like any other muscle group and is made primarily of type I muscle. doing hundreds of crunches like many people do is not optimal in increasing ab muscle strength and size.

recap: lose the fat over ur stomach in order to even see ur 6-pack (keep in mind that there is no such thing as spot reduction, which means burning off the fat from a certain area, so u will be burning off fat from ur entire body) and to further the look of ur 6pack, work them out for increased strength and size.

and remember this is just a guideline. every body is different, so adapt; however this should set u on the right track.

  3. Low intensity but change it up a bit.  If you focus on one workout then your muscles will become used to it and improvement will be at a slow crawl.  You will want to eat smarter as well.  Hope this helps.  Also, high intensity will tire you out quicker and if you dont have enough staminia or (not to insult you) will power then you wont be motivated to do the workout.
