  1. not unless somebody has their nose in your ear....i wouldnt be too concerned about it, my friend has like 00 and i couldnt ever smell his...

  2. depends on the earring you have in.  I have pyrex ones and they smell.  metal usually smells too.  Wood absorbs the smell so if you want to stink less, go with wood.

  3. Yes, they probably will start smelling, if they do and you seem to have some funky suff on your jewelry when you take it out, this is most likely dead skin cells. Since there's a signifigant amount of skin touching your plug, those dead skin cells don't have anywhere to go, so they build up on your jewelry. This effect and the smell that goes along with it varies from person to person and what tunnel/plug material you use.

People say organic tunnels/plugs make your ears smell less than metal, but as long as you clean your lobes regulary it shouldn't make a difference.

I'd say clean them once a day with salted water after you've been in the shower or bath.

Do not overdo it on the salt - too much salt is extremely bad for your piercing.

The two most important things that you can do for healed lobes are oil massages and relaxing your lobes.

If you have it you can use bio-oil, vitamin E oil or  jojoba oil after you've used the satled water, it makes the healing process quicker and will make stretching your ears bigger (if you want to) in the future a lot easier.

Oil massages, you help enable the breakdown of any scar tissue that has formed and keep your ears as healthy as possible. Another benefit to oil massages is that it helps to promote blood flow throughout your lobes, thickening them up over time.

    Hope i helped.

  4. Ear funk can start at any size, it's just more noticeable when you get larger. You want to clean them well while you're in the shower. Sea salt soaks a few times a week won't hurt either. You're also getting to the size that you'll want to start doing some oil rubs to keep your lobes stretchy and supple. I use vitamin E oil (it can be sticky though) but you can also use jojoba. There are a few others that people like to use, but I've never tried them, so I don't like to recommend them.

Smell can also be affected by jewelry material. Organics are said to cut down on ear funk (but don't use organics in fresh stretches) because they do a better job at absorbing the smell. If you decide to use organics, be sure to clean and oil them properly. I prefer stainless steel, it's easier to care for, easy to clean and 99% of people can wear it, but this is personal preference.

Once your lobes have settled after the stretch, take out your jewelry while in the shower to make sure they're nice and clean. You shouldn't have to clean them any more often than that.

It sounds like you're going at a good pace. As you get larger, make sure to take longer breaks between stretches. Also, be aware that if you stretch properly your lobes are likely to shrink back, but there is no guarantee. Stretching should be considered permanent, so don't go larger than you can live with.

  5. Yeah they might start smelling haha well atleast mine did.

Just clean them once a day take them out when you're in the shower or soak them in warm sea salt water for 10 minutes to sort of detox them.
