6 week old baby? is this normal?

do they usually almost stand on their own when you hold them? just a little wobbly so you know they would fall, but for them to be this strong already?

My son did that from very early on, 3 weeks I recall.  It was pefectly normal.

My daughter is 7 weeks & she's been doing that for a while now along with keeping her head held up. When we took her for pictures at 4 weeks, they put her on one of those little "seats" to prop the baby so they're sitting up. She didn't want to be there so she arched her back & pushed down with her legs like she wanted to stand up.  Different people & even my doctor said she is/will be advanced.

i don't know if it's average, but it's not abnormal.  my son was like that from the beginning.

thats diffenately normal dont worry hun :D all babys are different they can develope lot of things very fastly :D

Yes, that's normal. My baby was the same way then, but couldn't be held up too long. Now, at 4 months, he LOVES to stand.
