I have a 6 week old angel that cries all the time. She does not cry in a sad way she cries as if something really bad just happened. She cries this way when she is lying down. When we pick her up she stops immediately. If we move her to her side or something similar she will stop but soon seems to get frustrated and begins to cry. When we change her diaper and she feels the cold tissue on her skin, she explodes. She does this about 3 to 4 times a day, the rest of the time she is ok, ok with laying down and ok with the cold tissues. She seems to be very sensitive about everything. Does anyone go through similar situations? Please help, thanks in advance.

  1. well you should have a wipe warmer. it warms the wipes b/c babies cant control thier body temp at first and they hate feeling something so cold. i would also make sure she doesnt have some type of colic or isnt allergic to anything. i was like that for about two months and was allergic to the milk i was on.

  2. Yes my daughter is the same. sometimes something will upset her and other times shes fine. I just call her my drama queen. i never had a problem like this with my boys.

  3. This sounds fairly normal, however exhausting it may be! Babies will cry, it's their way of communicating. They tend to got hrough a phase at about 4-6 weeks of age where they are particularly unsettled. Hopefully she'll settle down as she gets more used to the world and all the strange new sensations. You could try wiping her bottom with  clean facewasher with warm water so it's not cold for her but you'll have to wash a lot of facewashers. Litlle babies need to be held a lot. It's hardwired into our biology to have lots of close contact at a young age. She'll be more independant before long.
