i had a missed miscarriage 6 weeks ago, i was 6 weeks pregnant and everything came away naturally. i had a scan a week later to make sure all was well which it was and i have been ttc since as i decided not to wait for my next period. i have done 4 hpt over the last 2 weeks which are all showing very strong positive results, could these hpt been false readings and still be left over hcg from my miscarriage? thanks

  1. Yes you could get positive results for a while, test every week, and when it finally comes back negative, then you can start trying again. As far as the period goes it could take a few months to get regulated again. Be patient and let your body heal.

  2. Is it possible that you were pregnant with more than one child and lost the one??

I have not one but two friends/relative that .. that happened to.

    Wish you the best!

Hope you still are carrying another baby as well. That one survived and all is well.

  3. I had a miscarriage 7 weeks ago ..... still no period. My midwife said that it can take up to 3 months for you to have a period again because it takes your body a while to clear the hormones.

She also said that it's not as safe to TTC for 3 months because your body would most likely miscarry again thinking it was still trying to rid itself of the previous pregnancy. I would still call your OB because a positive test ALWAYS needs a doctor's check. I hope it's true! Good luck!
