So I got this kitten from the flea market & she's got fleas.

Everything at the store says only use on cats older than 12 wks.

So, what do I do?

  1. You can use Frontline on your kitten. (Frontline makes a kitten dose, and so does Advantage Multi) You can purchase it from your vet. It is safe for kitten starting at 6 weeks. You can go in any local vet and ask them what they have for 6 week old kittens. Not sure how much it is where ever you live but in the vet office I work in we sell it for about $20 a dose whichs last for 4 weeks.

    Good Luck!

  2. Frontline does work great but I like to use just plain old dish detergent like Ajax or Dawn.  It works so well...especially on the little guys.  You just get the kitten good and wet then lather on the Ajax.  Be careful of course not to get it in its eyes.  And be sure to wash really well inside the legs and the tail and the web part of the kittens' toes.  Fleas and ticks love to hide there.

  3. Whatever you do; do NOT use those store medicines...they could kill your kitten....take her to the vet to get flees removed.

  4. take your cat to the vet, or try takin it a bath. be extra careful though since kittens are delicate

  5. take it to the vet they will dip her in a flea solution or go to the pound and they will do it

  6. Talk to your vet. I think Frontline is okay at 8 weeks.
